How I Overcame Self-Doubt and Shyness to Become Fiercely Passionate and Confident
A few weeks ago, I was asked a question that really blew my mind! The question was “why do I get out of bed every day?” When I heard my own internal answer, I was blown away by what I heard myself thinking. My short answer was:
“Because I can’t help it. I have an unwavering knowing that life is meant to be more.”
Fill Your OWN Cup! Are you a BEGGAR or a GIVER?
Imagine that each person has a cup. How they feel—their emotional state, health, wellbeing, fulfillment, their energy level—is dependent on how full their cup is. Every person as the ability to pour from their own cup into someone else’ by giving of themselves in one way or another. There are some people who are cup-fillers, helpers, givers who go around filling others’ cups. There are also people who are like beggars on the street holding out empty cups asking or demanding them to be filled.

Put the Oxygen Mask On Yourself First
You know when you’re in an airplane and the steward does the demonstration and tells you “in the case of an emergency and a drop in cabin pressure, put your own oxygen mast on first before assisting other passengers.” It’s cliché but most people miss the point. Have you ever stopped to consider WHY? Because if you don’t put the oxygen mask on yourself first, and you lose consciousness, you are unable to help anyone else.
Do You Know What You Really Want? No? Find out!
So, what do you want? If you’re like most people, this is surprisingly difficult to answer. Most people are so inundated with messages from their parents, peers, and society of what they “should” want that their true desires are drowned out. Plus, even if they’ve held dreams and desires in the past, their life experiences have lead them to believe that what they want is not possible, and so they stop allowing themselves to want it.
STOP Trying to Find Your PASSION! (Why Purpose is Better)
Many gurus, coaches, and personal development junkies espouse the intention to “discover your passion” and presumably “follow your passion” once you’ve found it.
Following your passion is pretty strait forward. Once you discover it, do it. Got it.
FREE YOURSELF! No More Limitations, Expand Your Boundaries
When I decided to Florida from New Hampshire when I was 23, everyone I told responded with pessimism and discouragement. “You’ll be back.” “It’s too hot down there, you’re going to roast.” “There are old people everywhere.” “The water at the beach gets so warm it’s not even refreshing.” “I’ve heard the traffic is TERRIBLE.” Everyone had negative things to say.
What is TRUE Confidence? (Growth Mindset 1)
What is the first thing that comes to mind when I ask you what confidence is? For most people, what comes to mind is feeling confident. For others, they think of confidence as a personality trait, a belief in their abilities, or self-esteem. But none of these are what confidence truly is.

Overcoming Fear of Change (Stop Getting Stuck in the Change Cycle)
Nothing in life stands still. Science has shown us that the entire human body—every cell—completely regenerates itself within a span of about seven years. Brain scientists and psychologists have agreed that in each moment our brains are taking in new information and our minds are constantly assimilating this information into our neural network of thoughts, beliefs, and associations.
